What is Varenigo?

Varenigo is a direct-to-consumer brand delivering handmade Ukrainian dumplings - vareniki and pelmeni - frozen to your door across Indiana.

What's the difference between vareniki and pelmeni?

Vareniki are soft, hand-folded filled dumplings, like potato and cheese. Pelmeni are smaller meat dumplings with a thinner dough, filled with seasoned beef and pork.

Who makes the dumplings?

Every batch is made by hand by Oksana Bondar, chef and founder of Olesya's Kitchen - Indiana's only Ukrainian restaurant, serving Columbus since 2018.

Where do you deliver?

We're starting in Columbus, then expanding to the surrounding area, and eventually across the whole state of Indiana. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you the moment delivery opens where you are.

Are the dumplings fresh or frozen?

They're made in small batches and delivered frozen, so they keep their texture and flavor. Cook them straight from frozen - no thawing needed.

How much do they cost?

Vareniki are $11.99 per 20-piece pack and pelmeni $12.99 per 25-piece pack. Delivery is every two weeks on a subscription, with plans ranging from monthly to yearly - the longer you commit up front, the lower your per-pack price. A delivery fee applies based on your zone. How do I cook them?

Boil straight from frozen - pelmeni are ready in under ten minutes, and vareniki cook just as quickly. Serve with butter, sour cream, or fried onions.
